Estimate your horse's height

Find the end of the tape marked with an arrow. Put the end of the tape under your foot. Make sure the tape isstraight up and down (not twisted). Then line up the top of the horses withers with a point on the tape to readthe horses height.

Place tape around the horse's girth, just behind the horses front legs and over the withers. Pull the tape tightenough to depress the flesh slightly. Note where the tip of the tape meets the table of figures, and read thehorse's weight. When you take measurements, the horse should stand square with its head upright. For bestresults take several measurements and average the results.
